On client service days at 5 Loaves, volunteers help bring our mission to life by directly serving families in need. Tasks may include handing out food boxes, fresh produce, bread, meat, and other essentials to clients as they come through our drive-thru distribution line. Volunteers also help restock items, prepare last-minute food bags, and keep the distribution process running smoothly. It's a fast-paced, rewarding shift where every smile and helping hand makes a real difference for the families we serve.
When you arrive, please come into the office and check in at one of our volunteer kiosks. Simply find your name, print your name tag, and then head out to the warehouse where a team member will get you checked in and assigned to a volunteer station.
Important: Every person volunteering must have their own account in our volunteer portal and be registered for the shift, regardless of age. This allows us to ensure all required waivers are completed and helps us plan appropriately for each volunteer opportunity.
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe tennis shoes. For safety reasons, we ask that all personal belongings remain locked in your vehicle.
